Prague, 14 June 2021 - This year, Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia has completely modernised the format of its regular Sustainability Report and is now publishing it in an interactive format. Sustainability Report 2020, which aims to inform stakeholders, business partners and the public about the steps the company is taking to meet its corporate responsibility goals, is now fully available online in Czech, Slovak and English. In addition to timeless texts, graphics and videos, you can listen to the information in the form of a podcast anytime, anywhere. This gives readers easy access and insight into reported data and events without having to spend so much time searching for key information.

Coca-Cola HBC is one of the first companies to report publicly through online presentation on the sustainability of its business and the steps it is taking in this area. The Sustainability Report 2020 is also unique in that it makes complex and comprehensive non-financial data truly accessible to the general public through the use of modern multimedia tools. Readers, whether they are professionals, partners, customers or consumers, can easily find out how the company has helped to improve the environment over the past year, its approach to health, local community development and its work with young people in the areas of education and work experience.

"Thanks to the complete redesign of the Sustainability Report concept, we have proved that non-financial reporting can be done in an interesting but at the same time understandable way. In the report, we use state-of-the-art tools that make it easy for anyone to get a glimpse of what our company is doing in the areas of responsibility and sustainability. In addition, readers can enjoy the content of the report in various forms, to which they can easily return at any time. We believe that we will become an inspiration for other countries within our group,” states Jan Václav Kašpar, Manager of Social Responsibility and Communities at Coca-Cola HBC CZ/SK.

In 2020 we managed to reduce our carbon footprint calculated per litre of beverage produced compared to 2018 by half. The report also provides information about the replacement of service cars with CNG models, help for start-ups tackling climate change and care for water in the landscape of both the Broumov region and Prague 14 district. At the same time, Coca-Cola is addressing responsible resource use and waste production - reducing water consumption, saving around 650 tonnes of plastic waste per year, and moreover all its plastic packaging is now 100% recyclable.

The structure of the Sustainability Report 2020 corresponds to the main pillars of Coca-Cola HBC's corporate social responsibility and sustainability, such as reducing emissions and caring for the climate, looking after water and water resources, striving for a world without waste, and an inclusive approach to corporate development. The creative concept of the online presentation is based on the graphic concept of the new website of the entire group. Individual sections can be read in the usual way, but it is also possible to watch them as a video or listen to them as a podcast. The online presentation also includes a number of innovative elements, including videos, graphics and interesting interactive tools that conveniently link the individual pieces of information into a compact whole. All information is available in Czech, Slovak and English.
