“Martina is a shining example of how it is possible to kick-start your career with us, and in the case of perseverance, hard work and talent, to move forward and even take this abroad. We are delighted that after eight years she is returning to the Czech Republic fully charged with experience. In addition, she is also bringing back very valuable experiences from abroad during this difficult pandemic period. We believe that in cooperation with the commercial department we will be able to continue in the already started activities focused on customers and speed up the restart of key channels,“

Dan Timotin General Manager, Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia

Prague, 26 July 2021 –  Martina Lovětínská has become the new Marketing Director for Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia - the experienced manager has already been working in the Coca-Cola system for almost 25 years. She now returns to the Czech Republic after a successful eight year stint at foreign branches of the company. First she led marketing in Italy, and then she occupied the same position in Ireland before later taking the role of Commercial Director. She takes over from Joonas Mäkilä, who has decided to continue his professional career by starting his own business.

Martina Lovětínská originally started her career in the Coca-Cola system as a key account analyst at the Czech branch in Kyje. In the following years she went through a number of roles in the commercial team at Coca-Cola HBC.  In the year 2013 she took up an offer from Coca-Cola HBC Italy where she worked as Marketing Director for two years. After this she moved within the group to Ireland, where again in the role of Marketing Director she supported innovation at the product level for four years. Then she spent a year as Commercial Director, where she drove the growth of revenue and values for corporate customers, as well as in 2019 deploying the SAP4Hana business system. She has been the Marketing Director of Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia since May 2021.

Lovětínská rates her departure eight years ago as an extraordinary opportunity, which motivated her to leave her comfort zone. In Italy she quickly got past the language barrier, and an openness to new cultures, curiosity and a willingness to learn new business practices and build relationships with new teams and colleagues have proven useful in her career path. Full of experience and knowledge she now returns to utilize this in the Czech Republic, where her professional career started back in 1995.

“I am really excited that I can again be part of the Czech and Slovak team. The pandemic has been a very difficult time for everyone - not only professionally but also privately, and for me due to the distance, it has been especially difficult with my parents who live here. The Czech business has unquestionably proven its ability to adapt and I am looking forward to the marketing activities which we are preparing for our customer and partners,” said Martina Lovětínská, Marketing Director, Coca-Cola HBC Czech Republic and Slovakia, and added: “One of these activities is taking place right now - a celebration of 50 years since the beginning of production of Coca-Cola beverages in the former Czechoslovakia, and this is also connected to the CSR roadshow 50 places for a good deed in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, and also many competitions which are running within different channels. In the 24/7 portfolio we can expect a lot of new things, consumers really have something to look forward to, “concluded Lovětínská, who aside from her work also finds time to study an MBA program at York St John’s University in the United Kingdom and at the same time looks after her two children.
