Coca-Cola HBC has a new responsive website

We focused on simplification, loading times and attractiveness. Individual sites were created using WebConnect, a system based on the Adobe Experience Manager created by Black Sun. This leading content management system provides administrators with full control over the contents as well as assets. AEM uses a system of templates consisting of distinct components, which provides us with the flexibility to structure the websites based on individual requirements. The aim is not only to allow customers and consumers to quickly navigate the website, but also to make the website easy-to-use for instance by job applicants.

Prague, 19 January 2021 –Coca-Cola HBC is launching its new fully responsive website, designed with an emphasis on user-friendliness and easy navigation. The creation of the website was initiated by the group with the aim of maintaining a unified design, structure and functionality for all countries that the company operates in. The aim was also to optimize the website for all kinds of mobile devices, emphasize contemporary topics (e.g., the product portfolio, e-shop, Covid-19) and support the brand’s growth.

The global project ran for half a year and all 28 countries across 3 continents where the company operates contributed. An experienced team of Black Sun experts prepared a custom-tailored solution. The development was preceded by an analysis of individual needs and extensive discussions aimed at ensuring that the new website will meet all the designated goals. This was followed by the graphical design, coding and programming of all functions. The complete website then underwent several test rounds that also involved partial changes, followed by training in various countries. The main advantage of the new system is an administrative interface that includes drag-and-drop functionality, making editing significantly easier and opening the door to ideas and creative solutions that would be virtually impossible on the previous platform.

“We focused on simplification, loading times and attractiveness. The aim is not only to allow customers and consumers to quickly navigate the website, but also to make the website easy-to-use for instance by job applicants,” said Martin Vírava, the director of company processes and technology at Coca-Cola HBC CZ and SK.

The improvements also include a brand new website: “Our Portfolio 24/7” (with the SK version available here). The new interactive wheel presents all the opportunities for customers to enjoy Coca-Cola HBC drinks, and uses clever categorization to introduce readers with drinks they might not have heard about. The company emphasized the website’s graphical design, content, creativity and visual style. Webpages are now better structured into individual sections, clearly visually communicate corporate values, its vision as well as mission; they emphasize important activities as well as individual stories. The pages are available in Czech, https://cz.coca-colahellenic.com/cz, Slovak https://cz.coca-colahellenic.com/sk and English: https://cz.coca-colahellenic.com/en.

Aside from the latest news in the media section (SK version here), customers can also make use of a new and innovative e-shop (registration necessary, SK version here) and an overview of the company’s activities during the Covid-19 pandemic (SK version here). Job applicants can then choose from the currently available positions advertised in the Work With Us section (SK version here). All parts of the website will be regularly updated.

The environment of a website can often be confusing for many visitors. That is why the company decided to focus on clarity, brevity and ease of navigation, and in order to improve these parameters it also reduced the number of links. Moreover, the reduced number of large images and complex web widgets helps prevent problems with content loading.
